Do 3 Year Olds Teethe...and Other Bedtime Struggles

Are there 4 year old molars that I'm not aware of? Or is this recent behavior chance just my good luck? I have no idea what is going on with Charlie the past few days, but someone else tap in. Please. This poor kid has been such a hot, crying mess come the evening, making every excuse possible to get out of bed finally ending with...his mouth hurts?

Everything I'm reading says that the next set of teeth should come around 5-6 years old, but something is going on with him. He got all the rest of his teeth super early, maybe these too? Is this for real? Or a cleaver toddler ruse to get out of sleeping?

I hate this game. I hate having to guess whether I'm calling his bluff or whether I'm instilling deep rooted psychological damage by ignoring a genuine need. The eternal question of parenthood.

Tonight was particularly challenging - especially when he tried to climb over his gate (for the first time in his entire life) and got stuck sitting, straddled on top. ::sigh:: What has gotten into him?! He's finally sleeping, but only after dragging all of his blankets and stuffed animals into a nest on the floor of his bedroom.

Toddlers are such interesting little creatures.
