Things I learned running this week:
- Running with a jogging stroller is much, much harder than it looks.
- Layering is your friend.
- Don't forget to stay hydrated. It is easy to forget when you're not sweating profusely because of the cold.
- After running in the cold, you will cough like a pack a day smoker.
I also mentioned last week about trying to find a goal to work towards. I haven't nailed down specifics yet, but I'm going to try to find a 5K in January or February to train for, then a 10K sometime in the spring or summer, then J wants us to do the Hershey Park Half Marathon in October. A little ambitious? It sounds it, but if we try, we can train for a half with that much time.
If anyone knows of a fun 5K and/or 10K that fits that timeline in the Southern PA/MD/NoVA area, let me know! I'm excited to find my first race!
