Charlie is Three!

It's a week late, but vacation will do that to you. Time continues to fly by and Charlie is three!

The week we were away was the most time I'd spent with Charlie since I was on maternity leave earlier this year. It's sad, but the true tale of a working Mom. I realized just how much faster time seems to be going now and how important is to remember all of the little things. I want to be able to tell him stories of when he was young.

At three years old...

You love to build with blocks, sing songs, go outside, and color.

At bedtime, you need to sleep with all of your stuff animals and your rocketship blanket.

You love Mickey Mouse and Jake the Pirate.

Your favorite food is macaroni and cheese, quesadillas, applesauce, or yogurt.

Your favorite songs to sing are ABCs, Deep & Wide, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

When you're excited you jump up and down and clap your hands.

When you're tired you rub your eyes and want to cuddle.

When you're scared you ask to hold my hand.

You are so polite. You say please, thank you, and bless you when someone sneezes.

You love going to school and playing with your friends.

When I pick you up at the end of the day, you yell, "It's Mommy!!" and run to me.

When you're in trouble, you cover your eyes with your hands and peek between your fingers.

You love reading Skippy Jon Jones and Russell the Sheep before bed.

You insist on trying to eat everything with a spoon - even sandwiches and chips.

You play so gently with Ginny and sweetly call her, "baby girl" when she's upset.

Your hair is curly and wild.

You always want to help and are a very good sharer.

You are my sweet baby boy no matter how big you get.
